A Tired Studio Floor, Reborn In A Weekend
A dance studio's pine floor was scuffed grey and splintering at the edges. We sanded back to fresh timber, repaired two damaged runs, and built up three coats of satin sports varnish — classes resumed on Monday morning.

Challenge & approach
Grip For Dancers, Kind To Knees
A studio floor must be grippy but never sticky, with just enough slide for turns. We tested three varnish sheens with the instructors, sealed the repaired boards to match the aged patina, and cured each coat with overnight airflow.
- Dust-free sanding with full extraction — mirrors stayed on the walls.
- Two board runs replaced and color-blended to the original pine.
